Cannon Park
In 1899 the city built an auditorium on this 3 acre park and in 1907 the auditorium became the Charleston Museum. In 1981 a fire destroyed the structure but the 4 impressive columns survived and remain there still today. In the 1890s the Olmsted brothers, (the landscape designers of Central Park) designed a park concept for this site which later became the blueprint for today’s design- a large grass lawn surrounded by live Oaks and Palms- ideal for your pup to play and for all to enjoy.
